a familiar swish of her feet
a knock at the door
a beautiful smile
I’m taken back
I had been so careful
to keep her in the distance
now she is pulling toward me
what do I do?
I didn’t plan for this
I let her embrace me
It feels so beautiful
Now, I’m left
with a moment
the air is still
the sounds so soft
my heart swirls
